They could have made a better card design. Its basicaly a Citi Costco card. But this is my favorit card. It replaced my Amex setup sply because i have the option of .01 per point when doing cash back. And a semi one card setup

Do we think Citi will put the same requirements that chase hasnon the sapphire card that you can only carry one variant of the strata card at a time?

Not digging the fact that it’s a MasterCard instead of Visa, in addition to fewer transfer partners. I’ve presented MC at several establishments, only to be told they only accept Visa. Anyone else???

To add to what you said, that you prefer chase over Citi because of the point value, I choose chase over Citi bc Citi has yet to add an American Airlines as a transfer partner. If they added more partners then Citi would blow away chase

I've had the citi premier since it started over 13 years ago. The benefits have changed but the selling point for me was travel protection, warranty for electronics and phone insurance included. They have got rid of it without warning and I never knew until I stumbled upon wanting to remember what features the card had. This is good that they updated the benefits to this which is kind of a rehash of what they already offered but between the app ease of use, the 35k credit line, up to 20k 9% apr loam off the credit line, I cannot complain about this card either way.

I left Citi a few years back when they dropped the travel protections. I'll sit on the fence until Wells Fargo and Citi launch there premium cards.

It has more sense with Travel Protection, Im not a US resident so I can only apply credit cards from Citi or Bofa, Im gonna wait for the new Prestige tho

Citi isn’t the only one that transfers to choice at 1:2 Wells Fargo does also but IG people still hate them

I’ve had the Citi Premier for years and it’s great. I have it combined with the Custom and Double Cash cards and with that trifecta I’ve built a points bank faster than I could have imagined. I also have the Amex platinum which is great for credits and lounge access, but since my preferred domestic airline is JetBlue, Citi offers a 1:1 conversion to TrueBlue points unlike Amex, which is a big benefit of ThankYou points.

A perfect example of how to maximize points (miles) value through Capital One is when I transferred 70k miles to British Airways Avios to score a Qatar Airways business class flight in Qsuites. With the $106 taxes and fees subtracted from the 70k on a $9,200.35 flight had I booked it in cash (yeah right🤣🤣🤣), I got what amounted to over 13 cents a point for basically a free flight in the world's best business class flight.

Why not get the Chase Sapphire Reserve instead of the Preffered, if the annual fee can be essentially cut back down with all the credits and the more perks it offers?

I have venture x but i dont like their travel partners😂 if you frequently to asia, its a no no.. most flights are 20hrs+ when delta and other partners (bc they dont flight through europe) is less than 12hrs..
